Twin Valley Man Faces Felony Knife Threat Charge

Twin Valley (trfnews.i234.me) — Randy Lee Bellanger Jr. faces three charges after an alleged confrontation in Twin Valley.

Prosecutors charged Bellanger with felony threats of violence.

The alleged incident happened on August 18, 2026, in Norman County.

Fight Reported in Twin Valley

Law enforcement responded around 12:40 a.m. after receiving a report of a fight in progress.

The incident happened at a residence in Twin Valley, according to the criminal complaint.

A woman identified as C.B. told investigators that Bellanger had been living with her.

She said Bellanger had agreed to move out of the residence.

Bellanger returned that night to collect his belongings, according to the complaint.

C.B. alleged that Bellanger removed an air conditioner from a window.

She said he then climbed through the open window and entered the residence.

The complaint says Bellanger kicked a chair toward C.B. during the confrontation.

He allegedly pushed her twice, once with one hand and again with both hands.

Bellanger then left the area for about ten minutes, according to prosecutors.

The complaint says he later returned and displayed a kitchen knife.

Bellanger allegedly made motions toward the tires of a vehicle with the knife.

C.B. also reported that Bellanger made a stabbing motion toward her.

She told investigators the action caused her to fear being harmed.

Another woman, identified as T.H., also described the confrontation to investigators.

T.H. said she saw Bellanger making stabbing motions toward a vehicle tire.

She also alleged that Bellanger grabbed her hand.

The complaint says he bent her hand backward and caused pain.

That allegation forms the basis of the fifth-degree assault charge.

Bellanger told authorities he had consumed alcohol, according to the complaint.

He also reportedly described his behavior as “just tripping.”

The felony threats charge is filed under Minnesota Statute 609.713.

The domestic assault count falls under Minnesota Statute 609.2242.

The fifth-degree assault count cites Minnesota Statute 609.224.

Each misdemeanor charge carries up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
