New London Township, Kandiyohi County (trfnews.i234.me) – A serious three-vehicle collision occurred on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at approximately 2:40 p.m. on Highway 23 near New London Township, Kandiyohi County. The crash involved a 2024 GMC Sierra, a 2023 Ford Expedition, and a 2023 Ford F-350 pickup truck.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the GMC Sierra, driven by 67-year-old David Don Peterson of Brookings, South Dakota, was traveling westbound on Highway 23. Simultaneously, the Ford Expedition, operated by 49-year-old Kerri Ann Hendrickson of Grove City, Minnesota, was heading eastbound on the same highway. The Ford F-350, driven by 60-year-old Sigurd James Holme of Spicer, Minnesota, was traveling southbound on Highway 9. The vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 9.
David Peterson and his passenger, 61-year-old Ann Marie Peterson, also of Brookings, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to CentraCare Hospital in Willmar for treatment. Both were wearing seat belts, and airbags deployed in their vehicle. Hendrickson and Holme were uninjured in the crash. Road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the incident.
Emergency response teams from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, Rescue Squad, New London Ambulance, and Fire Department assisted at the scene.
