Travel Update: 6:45 AM – Highway 2, Crookston to Grand Forks

CROOKSTON, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A look at road conditions on Highway 2 between Crookston, Minnesota and Grand Forks, North Dakota at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
hey everyone Neil Berg here at uh 6:45 a.m. with a little road report this is Highway 2 uh from uh looking at crookton Minnesota headed and route to grand fort westbound Lane of Highway 2 as you can see on the windshield there the lake behind it still just a bit of uh drizzle falling the good news is the uh National Weather Service out of Grand Forks says uh let all those warnings and Ice warnings and watches expire that precipitation is expected to quit moving north to south here later this morning however over on I29 some big problems uh closed between Grand Forks and Fargo at least earlier today you want to check on that that’ll change here supposedly the temperature should be warming up a bit but we still got uh continuous uh or icy Road problems uh going north up to the Canadian border right here on Highway 2 uh Road road is wet we’re going to tap the brakes here and see well it’s still pretty good it’s showing uh at least the uh vehicle temperature outside here is showing 32° so right right at the edge of freezing plus chemical on the roadways now so but that can quickly change wherever you’re going road map showing uh going south uh from uh Grand Forks on the Minnesota side 75 highway 9 going down to the interstate uh basically slush on roads Interstate 94 from around Barnesville to uh miniapolis looks in pretty good uh driving condition according to the dot map down by sock Center some ice on the roads but uh things are looking a lot better if you got to be traveling toward Minneapolis on this uh Wednesday again uh westbound here on Highway 2 from crookton and route to Grand Forks you still see a bit of light very light drizzle falling and just going to check the hting the brakes again it’s pretty good driving uh not feeling any ice on the road here but you’re going to want to be care careful right on the brink of uh possibly running into icy conditions so wherever you’re headed take a look at road maps uh you might be out of luck if you want to travel on I29 this morning at least till later you’ll need to check things can change very quickly so check out road maps if you’ve got to be uh traveling covering the northern Valley I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
