Traill County Sugar Beet Truck Rolls Over Near Hillsboro Plant
HILLSBORO, NORTH DAKOTA (trfnews.i234.me) — Emergency crews responded to a sugar beet truck rollover Tuesday afternoon near the Crystal Sugar plant in Hillsboro. The rollover occurred along Highway 81, according to reports from the scene.
Witnesses told TRF News the truck was fully loaded with sugar beets at the time of the crash. Photos submitted by viewers show the vehicle overturned near the plant entrance. The driver appeared to be uninjured, although the extent of damage to the truck and cargo is unknown.
Traffic was briefly slowed in the area as responders worked to clear the scene. No hazardous material or product spills were reported. The cause of the rollover has not been released, and local authorities are expected to investigate.
The Hillsboro Crystal Sugar plant is a key processing site during harvest season, and truck traffic in the area often increases during peak delivery times.
