Tragic July 4th Crash in Fargo: One Dead, Three Injured

  • 21-year-old female, West Fargo, ND – restrained, injured

Narrative:

On the night of July 4th, 2024, a fatal crash occurred at the intersection of 25th Street South and 13th Avenue South in Fargo. A 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by a 47-year-old male from Fargo, was traveling eastbound on 13th Avenue and entered the intersection on a red light. The motorcycle collided with a 2015 Mazda 3, driven by a 21-year-old female from Fargo, who was traveling southbound on 25th Street with a green light.

Both occupants of the Harley Davidson were thrown from the motorcycle upon impact. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 19-year-old female passenger was transported to Sanford Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Neither was wearing a helmet.

The occupants of the Mazda were taken to Essentia Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. The names of those involved will be released later.
