Driver No. 1: Juvenile, 8-year-old, Casselton ND – Fatal

Narrative:
The eight-year-old was driving a Yamaha dirt bike around a farm in rural Casselton. While
turning in the yard the juvenile lost control and struck a piece of stationary farm equipment.
Casselton Ambulance, Casselton Fire, and Cass County Sheriff’s Department attempted
lifesaving efforts on scene. Sanford AirMed transported the juvenile to Sanford in Fargo.
The juvenile died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The juveniles name will not be
released.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
