Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A 68-year-old man tragically lost his life in Chaffee, North Dakota, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, after being pinned beneath a vehicle he was working on.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before 5:00 p.m. at a private residence. Preliminary investigations reveal that the man was using devices to support the vehicle while working underneath it. These devices failed, causing the vehicle to fall and pin him beneath. First responders arrived promptly but found the man deceased at the scene.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
