A deputy stopped a pickup for speeding on US Highway 2, where the driver, 38-year-old Rafael Reynoldo, was found without a license and failed DUI tests. Authorities also found a machete, drugs, and fake identification cards in the vehicle.
Reynoldo, along with passengers Petrona Manzur, 49, and Jose Sanchez, 31, were arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including counterfeiting and possession of a fake ID. Investigators discovered the group was en route to Bottineau County to transport more illegal immigrants. Border Patrol agents arrested additional individuals at a hotel in Lake Metigoshe.
