Pennington County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Thief River Falls woman is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after a traffic stop led to a drug-related case, according to a criminal complaint filed in Pennington County District Court.

Mariah Louise Lundgren, 30, is charged with fifth-degree drug possession and fourth-degree driving while impaired by a controlled substance. Court records say the case started late on March 7, 2026, when a vehicle was stopped in Thief River Falls after it was seen traveling without headlights or taillights.

What Court Records Say

According to the complaint, Lundgren was identified as the driver. The passenger was Alexander Todd Brua. Court records say the vehicle had been coming from Holt. During the stop, authorities reported signs of possible impairment.

The complaint says Lundgren showed poor balance during field sobriety testing. Records also state she denied drinking or taking medication. The complaint later says she admitted she had used methamphetamine about a week earlier.

Drug Allegation

After Lundgren was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, court records say a search of her purse found several pipes, torches, and a small bag with a white crystal substance. The complaint says the substance tested positive for methamphetamine in a field test.

The complaint states the substance weighed about 1.8 grams. That led to the felony drug possession charge. The impaired driving allegation led to the misdemeanor DWI charge.

Sample Collected

According to the complaint, a judge approved a search warrant for a blood or urine sample. The complaint says Lundgren agreed to provide a urine sample. That sample was collected and placed into evidence for testing.

The charges remain allegations until proven in court. Lundgren is listed in the complaint as living in Thief River Falls.
