Thief River Falls Woman Faces Child Endangerment Charge
Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) — A Thief River Falls woman faces a child endangerment charge following a drug investigation.
Alexandra Rose Schimek, 26, is charged with gross misdemeanor child endangerment.
Prosecutors allege her young child was present in a home where cocaine was being kept.
The charge stems from a search conducted on August 6, 2026.
Search Warrant Executed At Residence
Drug task force officers executed a search warrant at a Thief River Falls residence.
The warrant followed an investigation into suspected controlled substance sales, according to the criminal complaint.
Schimek was inside the residence with her young son when officers entered.
The child’s name and age are being withheld.
Investigators reported finding approximately 92.7 grams of suspected cocaine inside the home.
Multiple weapons were also found during the search, according to prosecutors.

The complaint says some cocaine and drug paraphernalia were located inside a bedroom.
Investigators alleged those items were in an area accessible to the child.
Schimek Interviewed After Arrest
Schimek was arrested following the search and later interviewed by investigators.
She was advised of her rights before speaking with officers, according to the complaint.
Schimek reportedly said she had lived at the residence since July 22, 2026.
She also said her young child had been living there with her.
Prosecutors say Schimek acknowledged knowing about cocaine and weapons inside the residence.
She also allegedly admitted using cocaine the night before the search.
Gross Misdemeanor Charge Filed
The charge alleges Schimek knowingly allowed a child to be present where a controlled substance was possessed.
The offense carries up to one year in jail.
It also carries a possible fine of up to $3,000.
The case is filed as Pennington County court file 57-CR-26-569.
