Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) Fire destroyed a truck and damaged a nearby garage Saturday morning in Thief River Falls.
The Thief River Falls Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle fire outside 129 Willow Rd. The call came in at 9:41 a.m. on Saturday.
Officials said a 2006 Ford F-150 caught fire while parked near the garage. The truck had been plugged into an outlet inside the garage.
The flames destroyed the truck. Heat also melted a large section of siding on the garage.
Mike Skibicki owns both the truck and the garage, according to the fire department.
Damage and Response
Firefighters arrived and worked to contain the fire. Crews prevented the flames from spreading further into the structure.
The fire caused heavy damage to the pickup. It also left visible damage on the garage exterior.
No injuries were reported in the incident.

Cause Still Under Investigation
The cause of the fire remains unknown. The fire department has not released an estimate of the total damage.
Officials did not say how long the truck had been plugged in. They also did not confirm what the outlet powered.
Residents who use outlets for vehicle block heaters should check cords often. They should also avoid damaged cables.
