Pennington County (trfnews.i234.me) Two men from Thief River Falls have been cited after a reported theft at Erl’s Market earlier this month.

According to police, the call came in on November 5 regarding a theft at the store. Officers reviewed video from the business to identify two suspects.

The citations state that at about 4:30 a.m., Cody Lee Wendell, 33, allegedly took two deli sandwiches and a Flying Cloud THC drink without paying. Police say surveillance video captured the theft.

A second man, identified as 49-year-old Bobby Vinton Peralta of Thief River Falls, was also seen on video. According to the report, Peralta looked around the store and then took a receipt listing items donated to customers who cannot afford food.

Police say Peralta also moved hot deli sandwiches forward on the counter, though he did not take any food items. Officers later confiscated the donation receipt from Peralta. Both men were cited for theft.

No further charges were listed in the report, and police did not release the value of the stolen items. Officers did not report any damage to the store.
