What the complaint alleges

The case began with calls between an informant and a task force investigator on Jan. 22, 2024.

The informant said Abrahamsen was willing to sell methamphetamine.

Investigators gave the informant $500 in buy funds.

They also provided an audio recording and transmitter device.

The meeting was first planned for a garage in Thief River Falls.

Investigators said Abrahamsen changed the meeting location.

They met at the parking lot of Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls.

They later parked near 110th Street Northeast and 220th Avenue Northeast, the complaint says.

The informant bought about 20.2 grams of meth, including the bag weight.

Investigators requested an arrest warrant when the complaint was filed.

Weapon allegation tied to dismissed count

The dismissed charge involved a pen gun and .22-caliber bullets, according to the complaint.

The informant took a photo of the pen gun and shared it with investigators.

On the audio feed, Abrahamsen could be heard watching videos about pen guns.

He also talked about loading the device with a .22-caliber round.

Investigators said he did not fire the weapon during the deal.

Health detail mentioned

The informant reported Abrahamsen had a cataplexy episode during the meeting.

The complaint said he remained coherent during the sale.

Abrahamsen told the informant he was seeing a doctor, the filing states.

Readers can learn more about cataplexy from the Cleveland Clinic.
