Thief River Falls Man Wanted for Violating Predatory Offender Registry

Thief River Falls, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On June 3, while investigating an unrelated incident, a police juvenile investigator discovered that Michael Lewis Dewey, 57, of Thief River Falls, was not staying at his registered address. Dewey has been charged with felony failure to register as a predatory offender, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

According to the complaint, Dewey registered an address on Arnold Avenue in September 2022. When the investigator spoke to a man living at that address, he reported not having seen Dewey in months. Attempts to contact Dewey by phone were unsuccessful, as his phone was turned off and the number listed for his sister, his emergency contact, was no longer in service.

Further investigation revealed that Dewey had not worked at his listed employer in Mondovi, Wisconsin, since July 2023. Dewey had also registered a pickup truck with Washington license plates, which is registered to a woman in Kettle Falls, Washington.
