Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) — A Thief River Falls man is facing a felony charge after a reported online exchange with a minor.
Damian Marshall Teie, 29, of Thief River Falls, is charged in Pennington County District Court.
The charge is electronic solicitation of children. The court file number is 57-CR-26-230.
The alleged offense dates are listed as January 20, 2026, through February 18, 2026.
According to the complaint, the case began after a 13-year-old contacted police on February 18.
The juvenile reported that an adult had sent inappropriate photos and messages through Snapchat.
The child is identified only by initials in court records.
Complaint Details Snapchat Allegations
According to the complaint, M.P. said Teie randomly added him on Snapchat.
The complaint says the conversation first appeared normal. It later turned sexual, according to investigators.
M.P. showed law enforcement the messages, according to the complaint.
While the messages were being reviewed, Teie allegedly sent another inappropriate image.
The complaint says M.P. stated more than once that he was 13 years old.
Investigators allege Teie continued to send sexual comments and questions after that.

Law enforcement later located Teie on February 20, according to the complaint.
Teie acknowledged adding M.P. on Snapchat, according to court records.
He also acknowledged sending inappropriate Snapchats, the complaint says.
Teie told investigators he did not know M.P. was 13 years old.
He also claimed he deleted M.P. after learning the child was underage.
The complaint says Teie admitted sending an explicit image involving himself and another person.
Court records also cite a prior case involving a minor.
According to the complaint, Teie previously pleaded guilty in 2019 to an aggravated stalking charge.
That charge involved a victim under 18 and alleged sexual or aggressive intent.
Felony Charge Filed
The current charge was filed under Minnesota Statute 609.352.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
It may also carry a $10,000 fine, or both.
