What Happened?

Thief River Falls police responded to a 911 call reporting an aggravated assault in progress at Northland Student Housing. Upon arrival, officers found several students leaving the apartment, claiming they had broken up a fight and that no one was injured.

However, a roommate of Wilson’s told police a different story.

According to the criminal complaint:

  • The altercation began over a dispute about a girl.
  • Wilson and the roommate initially agreed to box with gloves for 30 seconds, but the fight never happened.
  • Wilson allegedly grabbed a knife, threatened to stab and gut the man, and later threw pots at him, narrowly missing his head.
  • Wilson also threatened to attack the man with a pizza cutter.
  • Other students reportedly blocked Wilson’s attacks while the victim fled to his room and locked the door before calling 911.

Threats and Police Response

While on the phone with 911 dispatch, the victim reported hearing Wilson:

  • Screaming death threats
  • Saying the victim shouldn’t sleep that night
  • Declaring he “wasn’t afraid to go to jail”

When officers arrived:

  • A police sergeant found a pizza cutter, pots, and pans on the counter.
  • However, no knife was immediately visible.
  • Wilson was found in another room with several people, but none of them initially spoke up as victims.

Legal Consequences

Wilson was arrested and charged with:

  • Felony terroristic threats
  • Misdemeanor domestic assault

He was booked into Pennington County Jail pending further court proceedings.
