Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) ā A Thief River Falls woman is charged in Pennington County District Court after investigators say she sold methamphetamine to an informant. Authorities allege the sales happened over three transactions in September and October 2025.
Cassandra Mae Horgeshimer, 45, is charged with felony first-degree sale. The complaint lists the total as 17 grams or more of methamphetamine. Court records say the alleged sales totaled nearly 22 grams.
The complaint was filed on Wednesday, Dec. 24. A warrant has been issued for her arrest. The filing says she is believed to be homeless or transient.
Alleged controlled buys
According to the complaint, the case started in September after a confidential informant spoke with an officer from the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force. The informant reported that Horgeshimer was selling meth, the complaint says.
Under direction from investigators, the informant allegedly made three purchases from Horgeshimer. The complaint says the buys happened between September and October. It says the task force buy funds were used. It also says the buys took place under surveillance.

Lab results
Investigators sent the suspected drugs to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for testing, according to the complaint. The report date listed in the filing is Dec. 6.
The complaint says the lab confirmed the substance contained methamphetamine. It also lists a total weight of 21.622 grams.
Prior record noted in complaint
The complaint also references a prior Pennington County case. It states Horgeshimer was convicted in March 2025 of fifth-degree controlled substance crime. It also lists a misdemeanor driving while impaired conviction.
What happens next
Charges are not proof of guilt. The case will be decided in court. If Horgeshimer is arrested, she is expected to make her first appearance in Pennington County District Court.
