Vehicles were damaged, and smoke filled the building
Peggy Clow owns the garage where the fire happened, the department said.
A 2015 Dodge pickup truck was parked inside the garage. A Polaris Ranger was also parked inside.
Both vehicles had slight damage from heat and smoke. The garage itself had heavy smoke damage.
Smoke damage can linger long after flames are out. Soot can stain walls and ceilings.
Smoke can leave strong odors in stored items. Smoke can also damage tools and gear.
Homeowners often need deep cleaning after this kind of fire. Experts suggest airing out the space when it is safe.
