Ronald Golden James Hoiland, 33, has been charged with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.

He also faces second-degree DWI, driving after revocation, and failure to yield charges.

Vehicle Allegedly Pulled In Front Of Police

According to the complaint, police had to stop for a motorist at Fourth Street and Main Avenue.

The vehicle had allegedly pulled out in front of them at the intersection.

An officer followed the vehicle after the near collision.

Brief Pursuit Ends In Yard

The officer used several siren tones during the stop attempt.

Hoiland allegedly continued driving and veered from side to side.

The complaint said he nearly clipped a parked vehicle along LaBree Avenue.

Speeds stayed around 30 mph during the pursuit.

Hoiland later drove into a yard between 13th and 14th streets.

He then stopped the vehicle, according to the complaint.

Breath Test Reported At 0.22 BAC

Police said Hoiland showed signs of impairment.

An officer also reported seeing a mixed alcoholic drink in a cupholder.

Hoiland was told to sit in a squad vehicle.

Instead, he dropped to his knees and placed his hands behind his head.

He then laid down on the ground, according to the complaint.

Police said Hoiland repeatedly told the officer to take him in.

At one point, he allegedly referenced a DWI during the officer’s questions.

Hoiland failed field sobriety tests, according to the complaint.

A breath test later showed a blood alcohol content of 0.22.

The complaint said Hoiland has a revoked driver’s license.

It also said he has two prior DWI convictions within the last 10 years.
