Thief River Falls Driver Arrested After DWI Crash

Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) — A Thief River Falls man was arrested after a crash involving a parked Corvette.

The crash was reported around 8:43 p.m. on September 15.

It happened in the 200 block of LaBree Avenue North.

Hunter Adam Audette of Thief River Falls was driving a Ford Fusion.

According to the report, Audette was traveling south on LaBree Avenue North.

His vehicle then struck a parked 1988 Chevrolet Corvette.

The Corvette was owned by Clifford Hill of Thief River Falls.

No known injuries were reported in the crash.

Driver Arrested on DWI Citation

Audette was arrested and cited for fourth-degree driving while impaired.

The citation said Audette initially reported drinking two beers.

The officer reported observing possible signs of impairment.

Audette then performed field sobriety tests.

According to the citation, he failed some of those tests.

A preliminary breath test reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.079.

Police questioned Audette again about how much alcohol he had consumed.

He then allegedly said he had consumed four drinks.

A later DMT breath test reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.09.

Minnesota’s general legal limit for most adult drivers is 0.08.

The police report did not list any injuries from the collision.

No ambulance transport was reported.

The report did not provide an estimate for damage to either vehicle.

No other vehicles were listed as being involved.

The fourth-degree DWI citation is an accusation.
