Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) — Several recent court cases were tied to traffic, DWI, and assault matters in Thief River Falls and Pennington County. The cases involved actions by the Thief River Falls Police Department, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, and the Minnesota State Patrol.

Police Department Cases

Darrin John Anderson, 40, of Cohasset, was sentenced in a third-degree DWI case. The charge involved an alcohol concentration of 0.16 or greater. He was ordered to pay $610. The court stayed 364 days in jail for two years. He also received two years of unsupervised probation. The court ordered a comprehensive assessment within 60 days. He must complete recommended treatment and aftercare.

Ryan Maxwell Herzberg, 26, of Thief River Falls, received a stay of adjudication in a school bus stop-arm case. He was fined $100. He also received one year of unsupervised probation.

Ashley Lluvia Olivares, 23, of Harlingen, Texas, received a stay of adjudication in a domestic assault case. She was fined $100. She also received one year of unsupervised probation.

Kimberly Ann Swenson, 45, of Thief River Falls, was fined $135 for improper change of course or failure to signal a lane change.

Multiple Vehicle Cases

Brian Wyman Wilde, 63, of Thief River Falls, appeared in several related vehicle cases. In one Thief River Falls Police Department matter, he was fined on counts tied to registration, driving after revocation, and lack of insurance. The court imposed jail terms, but stayed most of that time. He received credit for three days served. He also received work release privileges and unsupervised probation. Several other charges were dismissed.

Wilde also faced Pennington County Sheriff’s Office cases. Those counts included expired registration, driving after revocation, and no insurance as an owner. In the State Patrol cases, Wilde again faced driving after revocation and no insurance counts. The court dismissed separate charges of driving after suspension and no insurance in that matter.

Other County and State Patrol Cases

Danae Sue Wiseth, 44, of North Mankato, was fined $125 for driving 60 miles per hour in a 55 zone.

Mason Murray Melgaard, 18, of Roseau, was fined $125 for activating prohibited color lights on a street or highway. He was also fined $25 for not wearing a seat belt.

Keara Gail Marie Anderson, 25, of Bemidji, was fined $185 for having no driver’s license. Drake Reed Engelstad, 27, of Red Lake Falls, was fined $110 for not wearing a seat belt. Amy Jean Johnson, 42, of Thief River Falls, was fined $125 for failing to drive with due care.
