He was 60.
His family said he died peacefully at his home.
His wife, Staci Pervis, was with him.
Service plans
A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026.
The service will be held at the Thief River Falls Seventh-day Adventist Church on Tindolph Avenue.
Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.
Family said Aaron’s final resting place is the Awaiting His Call Cemetery.
They said the burial will be private on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The cemetery is near Nature’s Retreat in Cedar Township, rural Middle River.

Early life
Aaron was born February 5, 1965, in Waukegan, Illinois.
He was the son of Melvin Pervis and Judith (Meekma) Pervis.
Family said he spent part of his childhood in Bradenton, Florida.
In 1974, the family moved to Middle River, Minnesota.
He started school at Tindolph Seventh-day Adventist School, family said.
He later attended the Middle River SDA School.
He then attended Maplewood Academy in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Work and family
After high school, Aaron studied Non-Destructive Testing, family said.
He attended Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska.
Family said he also became a master welder.
After college, he worked for Landoll in Nebraska, family said.
They said he tested trailer structures for strength.
Aaron married Lisa Chamberlain in 1982 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
They had three children, family said.
They are James Pervis, Lilly Miller, and Emily Gilginas.
The family said Aaron later worked in drywall with relatives.
They said he also worked in aerospace in St. Louis.
In the early 1990s, he moved back to Middle River, the family said.
He worked for Natural Way Mills and promoted organic grains, they said.
He also ran a drywall finishing business on the side.
On December 22, 2018, Aaron married Staci Jenkins in Harrison, Arkansas.
Family said he became a stepfather to Seth, Samuel, and Simon Carrizosa.
Remembered for kindness
The family said Aaron loved biking and hiking.
He enjoyed gardening and bird watching, they said.
They said he could name birds by their songs.
They also said he often gave to charities.
They said he tried to help others when he could.
Survivors
Aaron is survived by his wife, Staci Pervis.
He is survived by his children and stepchildren, his family said.
He is also survived by his mother, Judith Pervis.
Survivors include siblings Melvin Pervis Jr., Jonathan (Angie) Pervis, and Wayne (Beth) Pervis.
Survivors also include Amy (Russell) Bantin and extended family members.
Preceded in death
Family said Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Pervis.
They also listed several relatives who died earlier.
