Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) — A Thief River Falls woman faces three felony drug charges. The case follows a search on January 13, 2026.
Charges Filed
Debra Robin Fields, 60, of Thief River Falls, is charged in Pennington County District Court.
Prosecutors allege first-degree intent to sell meth under Minnesota Statute 152.021.
They also allege first-degree possession under the same statute.
A third charge alleges third-degree sale under Minnesota Statute 152.023.
Search Warrant Details
The Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force served a search warrant, the complaint says. The location was the 540 block of 9th Street West.
Investigators say another suspect pointed to Fields as a high-volume supplier.
Inside the apartment, officers found Fields and another person, the complaint says.
In a bedroom, agents reported a digital scale. They also reported containers of a white, crystal-like substance.
In the living room, they reported a box on the couch. The box held 21 baggies of meth, the complaint says.
Investigators say the baggies were packed for sale. They described sizes like “balls” and “teeners.”
Seizure of Drugs and Cash
Law enforcement reports seizing 107.1 grams of methamphetamine during the search.
They also reported a safe labeled “Deb Fields Safe.”
The complaint says the safe held more meth. It also held $877 in cash.
Statement to Investigators
After Miranda warnings, Fields allegedly said the drugs were hers.
She also allegedly admitted to selling meth for about four years.
Investigators say she linked that start to her son’s death.
The complaint says she used some sale money to help her grandchildren.
Fields also allegedly said she bought meth in four-ounce amounts.
She allegedly paid about $400 per ounce. She then repacked it for resale.
Bail and Court Records
Court records show the case was filed on January 15, 2026.
The alleged offense date is listed as January 13, 2026.
Judge Tamara Lynn Yon set bail at $10,000 with conditions, court records say.
Alternate options included $100,000 cash or a bond with conditions.
The order also listed $1,000,000 without conditions.
Conditions included obeying all laws. They also barred alcohol and controlled substances.
An order of detention was signed on January 15, 2026, the court record states.

I was wonder who the suspect who gave her name up was hmm I can one guess lol But on a more serious note, addiction sucks and it’s real now the question is is this enough to make people realize that it’s not worth it? I’ve lived that life and I was one of the lucky ones to get out of it before it was too late so even though they’re stuck in a shitty situation with a little bit of self encouragement and self belief, you can pull yourself out of this and turn your life around for the better for yourself and those around you believe me it’s worth it.

A better question is, WHY were Confidential Informants necessary, to get her after 4 years!!!!! I am beyond confused.Losing her Son was her excuse???? I hope she gets the help she needs .. thems a lot of drugs hey , lots of deaths could’ve occurred .. many say she’s a good person .. 🤔 I can’t say , but I can say this : she’s lucky ! Those narcs mighta saved her life and countless others ..

Sounds to me like she has contributed to supplying people with this life ruining drug!! Probably several overdoses 👍🏽 She probably has ruined many families 👍🏽

This saddens me and breaks my heart 💔💔😪. Debi is a very good person and has gone through so much in life since way back to school days. She was always so caring and even if she was having a bad day and she saw you struggling she always made you laugh. Her heart is huge. Am I saying it was a good choice for her absolutely not. We all do things that we have regret. I have no idea why she took that road but I wish she would of reached out to me and discussed what all was going on. She really does have a wonderful heart. I don’t understand what brings some of us to make bad choices 😕 😪. And that’s what she did was make a bad choice. I love you Debra Fields I sorry you suffered so long..
