FERGUS FALLS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Veronica R. Gast of Fergus Falls is facing serious criminal charges, including felony assault with a vehicle and criminal vehicular assault, following a disturbing incident on August 10th. According to police reports, Gast and her boyfriend were on their way to a counseling session to address ongoing relationship issues. The couple had been arguing throughout the day, leading the victim to request that Gast return him to their residence. When Gast stopped the car, the victim exited and began walking around the front of the vehicle. As he did, Gast allegedly made eye contact with him before accelerating, striking him with the car. The victim was thrown onto the hood, shattering the windshield. Gast claims the damage occurred when the victim punched the windshield after being struck. She also stated that she was trying to pull over to apologize when the incident occurred.
