GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A man, identified as David Lavdvik, 61, of Grand Forks, was apprehended following an alarming incident outside The Gate City Bank in downtown Grand Forks on Friday morning around 7:30 a.m. Lieutenant Andrew Stein of the Grand Forks Police Department provided details, stating that Lavdvik was arrested for terrorizing. Responding officers were informed of a potential armed individual who had made verbal threats toward bank staff. Fortunately, the suspect was apprehended without resistance, and a black handgun was discovered in his possession. There were no reported injuries, as Lavdvik was located on foot in the bank’s drive-thru area and did not manage to enter the building. Regarding his current status, inquiries with the Grand Forks County Jail indicated that he was denied admission, suggesting the possibility of a mental health evaluation. Further updates will be provided if formal charges are filed.
