Stearns County (TRF News) – Sartell Woman Charged in Fatal St. Cloud Hit-and-Run
A Sartell woman is now facing felony charges in connection to a deadly pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred in St. Cloud on the evening of February 16, 2025.
According to court documents, Katie Celeste Campbell allegedly struck a male pedestrian with her vehicle just south of the intersection of Division Street and Highway 15. The victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Witness and Suspect Statement
- A witness saw the incident and reported it to authorities.
- Campbell later called dispatch and admitted she was the driver involved in the collision.
- She confirmed that she knew she had hit a pedestrian but left the scene because she didn’t want to exit her vehicle with her child inside.
Felony Charge and Possible Sentence
Campbell is now charged with:
- Felony Traffic Collision – Driver Fails to Stop for Injury or Death
This charge carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison if convicted.
Campbell is awaiting further court proceedings in the case.
