ST. CLOUD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – St. Cloud State University has announced a list of 42 degree programs and 50 minor programs that will be cut over the next five years to address a $15 million budget deficit. Some of the majors being eliminated include Criminal Justice, Music Performance, Physics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, and Gender and Women Studies.
These cuts will result in a 13% reduction in full-time faculty, an 8% decrease in staff, and a 15% reduction in administrator positions. University officials highlighted that these changes are necessary to stabilize the financial future of the institution.
