SPRINGVALE TWP, Isanti County (trfnews.i234.me) — A crash on Highway 95 left one driver with life-threatening injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol released the initial report on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

The crash happened at 2:11 p.m. It occurred at Highway 95 and Moon Lake Drive.

What happened

Troopers said two vehicles were traveling east on Highway 95. A 2014 Ram 1500 pickup was in front.

The Ram stopped to turn left onto Moon Lake Drive. A 2004 Oldsmobile sedan hit the pickup from behind.

The crash report said the Oldsmobile then went into the ditch.

The report lists the sedan as a 2004 Oldsmobile Aero. Road conditions were listed as dry.

Airbags did not deploy in the Ram. Airbags deployed in the Oldsmobile, according to the report.

Drivers and injuries

The pickup driver was Kenney Rueben Wing, 72, of Isanti. The State Patrol reported non-life-threatening injuries.

Wing was wearing a seat belt. No care facility was listed for him.

The sedan driver was Tucker Stromgren, 29, of Isanti. Troopers reported life-threatening injuries.

Stromgren was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Troopers said Stromgren was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was listed as not involved.

The report did not list any passengers in either vehicle.

Response and report details

Cambridge Police, the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, and Cambridge Fire also responded.

The incident is listed as an injury crash. The State Patrol district is 2500 West Metro.

The incident number is ICR 25515912. The report was last updated at 7:31 p.m. Sunday.

The State Patrol marked the entry as “information believed complete.” The cause remains under review.
