Special Weather Statement issued May 17 at 8:37PM CDT by NWS Grand Forks ND

At 837 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Alvarado to near Bygland to 6 miles
southwest of Cummings. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Grand Forks, Thief River Falls, East Grand Forks, Crookston, Warren,
Red Lake Falls, and Thompson.

This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 108 and 148.
