Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) – We have an update from Grand Forks following a fire call Thursday evening at an apartment complex located at 2401 36th Avenue South.

According to the Battalion Chief of the Grand Forks Fire Department, the incident stemmed from a cooking fire inside an apartment. While there was no actual fire damage, the blaze did produce enough smoke to fill the building, prompting the evacuation of residents for a brief period.

Fire crews arrived swiftly, deployed fans to ventilate the building, and cleared the scene after ensuring there were no injuries and that the situation was under control.

This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of unattended cooking and the importance of smoke alarms and quick response.
