Shots Fired in Downtown Grand Forks on Fourth of July: Suspect Detained

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – We have a report of shots fired in downtown Grand Forks this Fourth of July evening. No official word yet on whether anyone was injured.

Breaking news out of Downtown Grand Forks: At approximately 7:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting on Demers Avenue, looking south down Fourth Street. A dispatcher confirmed that there was a report of a shooting. Emergency traffic on the scene was garbled, indicating some confusion.

Witnesses observed police detaining a person at the corner of Fourth Street and Demers. Farther down the street, an ambulance was parked, but it is unclear if anyone was shot or injured. Police are actively handling the situation, and an ambulance is on the scene to provide assistance if needed.

We are awaiting further details from the police, who are currently occupied with the ongoing situation. TRF News is on the scene and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

    Today two bums were rifling through my apartment building trash bin. It's insane how they ruin the area here.

  2. Please don't let GF turn into St. Cloud, MN. That city is in ruins. Over run by homelessness, drugs, mentally ill and immigrants who want to bring their old country's ways to America.
