GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – The case against Marshawn Howard Wooten has escalated into a major sex crimes investigation with disturbing new charges filed in Grand Forks County.
Wooten is now facing 12 felony counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, all Class AA felonies, each carrying a maximum sentence of life in prison. The charges allege multiple sexual acts with a girl under the age of 15 that occurred in April and May at his apartment on Night Drive in Grand Forks.
According to the criminal complaint, two other juvenile girls witnessed the encounters. Authorities say a recording exists showing all parties before and after one of the incidents. Wooten also allegedly gave the girls BuzzBallz, an alcoholic drink.
In addition to the rape charges, Wooten faces two other felonies:

Possession of prohibited materials, including a video of a nude minor in a shower

Luring minors by computer, allegedly using social media to contact and groom the victims.
The investigation remains ongoing.
