Hallock (trfnews.i234.me) — Murder Shocks Community as 23-Year-Old Faces Charges!
Authorities in Kittson County, Minnesota, have charged 23-year-old Jordan Hanson of Kennedy, MN, with second-degree murder and third-degree murder following the fatal shooting of an unidentified man in Hallock. The second-degree murder charge carries a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.
According to court documents, a family member reported Hanson as being delusional from drug use. A shocking statement from probable cause details how:
- On March 13 at 1:27 p.m., a woman called the Kittson County Sheriff’s Office, stating that Hanson had confessed to shooting the victim in the head.
- Hanson was recently in drug treatment but was allegedly picked up and returned to Kittson County before the crime.
- Law enforcement found the victim face down in a pool of blood in his home, with a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun nearby.
- Hanson was arrested outside a residence in Kennedy and appeared confused and under the influence, even asking deputies, “What are all the sugar beets still doing on the ground?”
The Kittson County Jail now holds Hanson as prosecutors weigh charges. This disturbing case remains under investigation.
