Pennington County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On December 6, 2024, at 10:07 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a vehicular accident at the intersection of Center Street East and 290th Avenue Southeast. The incident involved a 2017 Peterbilt 579, operated by Alexander Van Vuuren of Bejou, and a 2024 Chevy Trax, driven by Ryan Severson of Alexandria. According to the report, Van Vuuren reversed his semi-truck in the traffic lane to accommodate a turning semi but was unaware of Severson’s vehicle positioned behind him, resulting in a collision. No injuries were reported.
