Roseau Woman Jailed After Fatal Highway 11 Crash
Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) – One woman was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 11 east of Roseau, Minnesota.
The crash happened at about 3:28 p.m. Friday in Spruce Township, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Investigators say a Ford F-250 was traveling east on Highway 11. A Kia Sorento was traveling west on the same highway.
The two vehicles collided on Highway 11 in Roseau County. The road was listed as dry at the time of the crash.
Baudette Woman Killed
The driver of the Kia Sorento was identified as 82-year-old Barbara Lee Welberg of Baudette, Minnesota.
Welberg suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The State Patrol report says she was wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Ford F-250 was identified as 43-year-old Shauna Rae Dokken of Roseau, Minnesota.
Dokken suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to LifeCare Medical Center after the crash.

Possible Charges Listed
As of Saturday morning, the public State Patrol report listed alcohol as not suspected for either driver.
However, Dokken was listed in custody at the Roseau County Jail on possible pending charges.
Those possible charges include operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.
Another listed possible charge is first-degree driving while impaired within three years of a prior incident.
A third possible charge is criminal vehicular homicide while operating a vehicle in a grossly negligent manner.
Authorities have not released what controlled substance may be involved.
No formal complaint was available at the time of this report. More details are expected if charges are filed in court.
The Roseau County Sheriff’s Office, Roseau Police Department, Roseau Fire, and Roseau EMS assisted at the scene.
