Roseau Man Charged After Wild Late-Night Arrest

Roseau County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A Roseau, Minnesota, man is facing several criminal charges following a chaotic late-night incident in the city earlier this week.

According to court records, Brandon Donald Walls has been charged with felony burglary in the first degree, felony threats of violence, a gross misdemeanor for obstructing the legal process, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

The charges stem from an incident on October 15 at 12:43 a.m. when police were notified that Walls had entered a Roseau residence and was refusing to leave. Officers responded to the home and spoke with the residents, who said they had been sitting in a backyard shed when Walls suddenly entered uninvited.

Walls eventually left the property before police arrived, and officers cleared the scene after advising the couple they could pursue a trespass notice. Shortly after, dispatch received another call reporting that Walls had returned. When officers came back, they found Walls inside the residence.

According to the probable cause statement, Walls was escorted out of the home and told officers he returned because he was “drunk” and believed he needed to “save” the woman inside. Police say Walls became aggressive, yelled repeatedly, and resisted arrest. At one point, he allegedly threatened an officer, saying, “Do you want me to kick you in the face?”

After a struggle, officers managed to place Walls in custody. He was later booked into jail on the listed charges.
