Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Salol man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he assaulted a family member, threatened to kill her, and later rushed at an officer during a domestic incident in late July.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Roseau County District Court, 25-year-old Isaac David Specht has been charged with:
-
Two counts of threats of violence (felony)
-
First-degree property damage (felony)
-
Obstructing a peace officer (gross misdemeanor)
-
Domestic assault — 5th degree (misdemeanor)
The incident occurred on July 23, 2025, when Roseau County deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 137.
A parent of Specht reported that he had been drinking and became violent after arriving at the home. Court documents state he hit her with a shirt, grabbed her from behind, tore her clothing, and shoved her onto a car while threatening to kill her.
Specht also allegedly threw a log at the vehicle, shattering its windshield, and admitted to breaking a television and a window inside the home. During questioning, he acknowledged he “probably did threaten to kill her.”
Deputies say Specht continued making threats after their arrival, including against his mother and law enforcement. When an officer arrived on scene, Specht allegedly threatened to kill the officer and rushed at him, prompting the use of a taser.
He was taken into custody after the confrontation.
If convicted, Specht faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each felony count.
The case remains under review in Roseau County District Court.
