Roseau County DWI Arrest: Randy Obie Booked
Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Roseau County man has been booked into the Roseau County Jail after authorities arrested him on several impaired driving allegations. The booking records show that Randy J. Obie, 61, was booked on July 17, 2026, following an investigation by the Roseau County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the jail roster, Obie remains listed with three pending driving-related charges. The booking record also shows that no bail had been posted at the time the information was released. Jail records provide booking information only. They do not determine guilt or innocence.
Charges Filed
Obie is facing a gross misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Prosecutors have also listed a gross misdemeanor charge of third-degree driving while impaired. That charge alleges one aggravating factor under Minnesota law.
In addition, Obie faces a misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or higher within two hours of driving. Each charge will be addressed through the Minnesota court system.

Court Process Continues
The charges listed in the booking report remain allegations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. Future hearings and court filings will determine how the case moves forward.
Minnesota law treats repeat or aggravated impaired driving offenses more seriously than standard misdemeanor DWI cases. Court records will determine whether the alleged aggravating factor applies in this case.
Additional information may become available as court proceedings continue. Members of the public can review case filings through the Minnesota Judicial Branch. Current inmate information is also available through the Roseau County Jail roster.
Ongoing Coverage
TRF News will continue to follow this case as additional court documents or official updates become available. Readers should remember that booking information reflects allegations at the time of arrest and may change as the legal process moves forward.
