Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Roosevelt man is facing one felony charge and three misdemeanor charges after a reported domestic assault in Roseau County.
David Irvin Keeler, 53, of Roosevelt, is charged in Roseau County District Court. The charges include felony threats of violence and three counts of fifth-degree domestic assault.

911 Call Reported From Roseau County Home
According to the criminal complaint, a 911 call was made around 5:16 a.m. on May 2, 2026.
Nowell Keeler reported a domestic assault involving her husband, David Irvin Keeler. She told authorities the couple had argued the night before.
The complaint says David Keeler later came into a room, closed the door, and began yelling.
Nowell Keeler reported that he lunged at her several times. She also reported that he punched near her head.
She told authorities the actions caused her fear. She said she feared he was going to kill her.

Complaint Cites Children Nearby
The complaint states that Nowell Keeler called for help from her son and stepson.
Authorities allege David Keeler continued yelling after the children entered the room.
The complaint says he punched a door near the head of one child. It also says another child was nearby.
That child reportedly flinched and jumped backward, according to the complaint.
Authorities also allege David Keeler made a threat about smashing Nowell Keeler’s head.
Nowell Keeler reported that a chair was thrown and broken during the incident. She also reported that other items were damaged.
Charges Filed In Roseau County

The felony threats charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. It also carries a possible $10,000 fine.
Each misdemeanor domestic assault count carries a maximum sentence of 90 days. Each count also carries a possible $1,000 fine.
According to the complaint, David Keeler later gave a statement to authorities. He admitted there had been an argument.
He also admitted yelling and throwing a chair, according to the complaint.
The complaint says he was arrested and taken to the Roseau County Detention Center.
The charges are accusations. David Irvin Keeler is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
