Erskine – Rodney Lund, 71, of Erskine, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024.
Rodney Dean Lund was born on June 4, 1953 in Park River, North Dakota, the son of Hugh Jerome Lund and Elaine (Parker) Lund Gartner. He was baptized September 29, 1953 at his parents’ home in Park River, ND.
He was employed at Northern Motors in Thief River Falls, as the Service Manager for over 20 years. For the past 10 years he was a Pipeline Inspector for Tulsa Inspection Resources, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Rodney loved spending time hunting, fishing, golfing, driving his Harley, fixing old cars and playing cards with his neighbors. Rodney also loved spending time with his family and friends.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Shawneen Nielsen (Larry) of Trego, WI, Lee (Lisa) Lund of Lindstrom, Ronnie (Mandi) Lund of Thief River Falls; stepchildren, Teresa (Jonathan) Hopke of New Prague, Amy (Milt) Green of Apple Valley, Katrina (Lance) Hapka of Halma, Kristina (Steve) Wiseth of New Braunfels, TX; sister-in-law, Mary Lund of Park River, ND; brothers, Terry (Tami) Lund of Park River, ND, Brad Lund of Pisek, WI, Mark Lund; grandchildren, Secora (Cameron) Bejarano, Chris and Jacob Teed, Will and McKenna Lund, Braydin and Keegan Lund, Kyan, Brexten, Taya and Vivia Hopke, Treyson (McKaylee), Damon and Briel Green, Luke, Zoey, Mara and Levi Hapka, Kylee DeFrang, Zander, Everly and Adelynn Wiseth; great-grandson, Adrian Teed; great-granddaughter, Drew Green (due November, 2024); and his nephews and nieces.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Lund; and beloved uncle, Curtis Lund.
Rodney will be deeply missed by family and friends, but his memories will always live on.
