Rice County (trfnews.i234.me) — On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at approximately 12:54 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on southbound Interstate 35, just south of Rice County Road 1 in Forest Township. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Subaru WRX, driven by 72-year-old Thomas William Bowman of Brooklyn Center, MN, collided with a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by 41-year-old Jason Paul Vargo of Morristown, MN. Bowman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Southdale Hospital for treatment. Vargo was uninjured in the incident. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and no alcohol was involved. Road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the crash. The Rice County Sheriff’s Office and North Ambulance assisted at the scene.
