Red Lake Falls Sheriff Log: DWI, Drugs, Warrant

Red Lake Falls, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Red Lake County authorities reported several arrests and investigations between September 11 and September 17.

The calls included suspected drug possession, DWI, a search warrant, theft, trespassing, and a child protection investigation.

Driver Cited Near Red Lake Falls

On September 11, deputies stopped Lynn Ray Beadles, 77, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The stop happened on Highway 32 south of Red Lake Falls.

Beadles was cited for misdemeanor expired vehicle registration.

He was also cited for having no proof of current vehicle insurance.

Search Warrant and Drug Arrest

On September 12, Red Lake County officers assisted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities helped execute a search warrant in Red Lake Falls.

Polk County authorities are handling that ongoing investigation.

Later that day, a deputy stopped a vehicle on 270th Street Southeast.

The stop occurred in Poplar River Township for an equipment violation.

Authorities identified the driver as Renee Cecilia Peralta, 47, of Erskine.

Investigators said Peralta showed signs of impairment from suspected illegal controlled substances.

A vehicle search also found suspected methamphetamine residue, according to the sheriff’s report.

Peralta was arrested and taken to jail in Crookston.

She was booked on suspected felony drug possession and gross misdemeanor DUI charges.

Peralta appeared in court on September 14.

She posted $1,500 cash bail and was released with court-ordered conditions.

Her next court appearance was scheduled for September 25 in Red Lake Falls.

Other Calls Across Red Lake County

On September 14, officers assisted Red Lake County Social Services with a child protection investigation.

That case remained under investigation.

On September 15, deputies responded to a loose dog near the Plummer School.

A deputy spoke with the owner about keeping the dog on the owner’s property.

On September 16, deputies responded to a trespassing report in Red Lake Falls.

Deputies spoke with everyone involved and helped resolve the situation.

Crookston Man Arrested on DWI Allegation

Later September 16, authorities received a report of a driver sleeping behind the wheel.

The vehicle was reportedly running and blocking Hamilton Avenue in Red Lake Falls.

A deputy woke the driver and began an investigation.

Authorities identified the driver as Chad Alan Ringstad, 45, of Crookston.

Investigators said Ringstad appeared intoxicated.

He was arrested and booked for gross misdemeanor DWI test refusal.

Ringstad appeared in court on September 17.

He remained in custody when the sheriff’s report was released.

Also on September 17, a Plummer resident reported property stolen from a home.

That theft remained under investigation.
