Red Lake Falls Crime Roundup: Arrests, DWI, Charges

Red Lake County (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities reported arrests, criminal charges, traffic cases and public assistance calls between August 8 and August 13.

Warrant Arrest and Highway Crash

On August 8, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested Justin Michael Blilie, 43, of Fargo.

Red Lake County had an active warrant for failing to appear in court in July.

Blilie was taken to jail in Crookston.

That evening, Voyageur’s View requested help removing unwanted campers.

The group agreed to leave without incident.

On August 9, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 32 south of Red Lake Falls.

Authorities said a southbound vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a northbound vehicle.

No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed.

The Minnesota State Patrol is handling the crash investigation.

Assault and Nuisance Cases Filed

Several criminal complaints were filed on August 10.

Donald Ray Konickson, 77, of Plummer, was charged with misdemeanor assault.

The complaint alleges he assaulted an adult woman outside the D&K Corner Bar on August 3.

Kristen Lee Barnett, 62, of Canby, faces three misdemeanor public nuisance ordinance violations.

The allegations involve property she owns in Red Lake Falls.

Phillip Ross Olson, 35, of Red Lake Falls, received two misdemeanor citations.

Authorities cited him for allowing a public nuisance and failing to register an animal.

The release says his dog had been running loose and bit someone in June.

Felony Arrest and DWI Cases

David Alan Longtin, 66, of Oklee, was arrested August 10 on three felony charges.

The charges involve alleged child sexual abuse material and electronic communication involving a child.

The investigation began in 2025 and involved several law enforcement agencies.

Longtin appeared in court on August 11, when bail was set at $2,000.

The August 14 release said he remained in custody at that time.

Sheila Marie Olberg, 47, of Red Lake Falls, was arrested after a traffic stop that evening.

Authorities allege she showed signs of drug impairment.

Two minor children were passengers and were released to a suitable guardian.

Olberg was booked for gross misdemeanor DWI test refusal.

The release says she later posted $1,200 cash bail and was released under court conditions.

More Arrests and Citations

Matthew Thomas Stevens, 40, of McIntosh, was charged with violating a harassment restraining order.

Prosecutors allege he contacted the petitioner by telephone in June.

Katelyn Alyssa Stephens, 22, of Thief River Falls, was arrested August 11 for gross misdemeanor DWI.

Authorities found her unresponsive behind the wheel in a county parking lot.

She was later released and will receive a court summons.

Albert Justin Sevigny, 33, of Foley, was arrested August 12 after a Red Lake Falls traffic stop.

Authorities reported finding methamphetamine during a vehicle search.

He was booked on drug, impaired-driving, license, and insurance allegations.

Krista Marie Lundeen, 37, of Oklee, was cited that evening for driving after revocation.

Passenger Tanya Marie Nikoli, 33, of Oklee, was cited for an open cannabis package violation.

Other calls involved a missing trailer ramp, a suspicious-person report, and a found Dodge key fob.

The allegations in criminal cases do not establish guilt.

Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
