Red Lake County (trfnews.i234.me) A sheriff’s office report covers calls from Jan. 31 to Feb. 5, 2026. The report was dated Feb. 6, 2026.

Warrant arrests in Plummer

Deputies went to a Plummer home on Jan. 31 to serve warrants. Hollie Louise Baker-Walseth, 78, of Plummer, was arrested. The report says she had a felony warrant from Marshall County. Christopher Chad Walseth, 48, of Plummer, was also arrested. The report says he had a gross misdemeanor warrant from Pennington County.

Both were taken to the Pennington County jail in Thief River Falls.

Traffic cases near Oklee

On Feb. 1, Jaxson Isaac Mather, 19, of Salol was cited in Oklee. The stop was on Governor Street. He was cited for careless driving. He was also cited for driving after suspension.

Also on Feb. 1, a driver reported a crash on Highway 92 west of Oklee. The driver said he lost control and hit a bridge. He reported minor injuries and declined care. The vehicle was towed.

Michael John Conner, 37, of Trail, was cited for careless driving.

Threat report and court-order violation

On Feb. 2, deputies assisted the Fosston Police Department with an investigation.

On Feb. 3, a Poplar River Township resident reported threats from a relative. A deputy documented the complaint and gave advice.

Later on Feb. 3, the sheriff’s office investigated a report of a court-order violation. The report says Joseph Arley Hillstad, 18, of Fosston, violated an active harassment or restraining order. Deputies located Hillstad near Red Lake Falls. He was arrested and taken to jail in Crookston.

The report says Hillstad appeared in court on Feb. 5. He was released on a promise to follow court conditions. Another hearing was scheduled later this month.

Felony vehicle theft case

Also on Feb. 3, a Red Lake Falls resident reported a vehicle stolen by an acquaintance. Investigators later located the vehicle in Deer River. They also located the suspect there.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office and the Deer River Police Department assisted. Korbyn Charles Dale, 29, of Red Lake Falls, was arrested. He was turned over to Red Lake County authorities.

Dale was booked in Crookston on a felony motor vehicle theft charge. The vehicle was impounded in Deer River. It will be held until the owner can retrieve it.

The report says Dale appeared in court on Feb. 5. He was released from custody. His next court date was set for Feb. 25 in Red Lake Falls.

Juvenile calls and speeding citation

On Feb. 4, deputies responded in Plummer for an unruly juvenile report. The child left a parent’s vehicle and ran. The child refused to go to school. Deputies located the child. They took the child to juvenile detention in Crookston.

On Feb. 5, deputies helped a student locked out after school. The student was located at Lafayette High School. The issue was resolved.

Also on Feb. 5, Craig Arthur Solie, 38, of Brooks, was cited for speeding. The stop was on County Road 7 east of Highway 59.
