Online scam report
On Feb. 6, a county resident reported an online scam. The case remains under investigation.

Probation violation arrest in Red Lake Falls
On the evening of Feb. 6, a deputy arrested Brandon Tyler Olson, 38, of Red Lake Falls. The report said he violated supervised probation terms.
Olson was booked in Crookston at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center. The report said he was released Feb. 11.
Traffic and nuisance citations
On Feb. 7, Lonnie Wyatt Cervera, 38, of Floresville, Texas, was cited for speeding. The stop happened on County Road 49 west of Highway 59.
That same night, deputies responded to a dog complaint in Red Lake Falls. The dog was reportedly left outside for a long time.
Chad Wayne Smith, 47, of Red Lake Falls, was cited under the city’s public nuisance ordinance. You can read the ordinance on the Red Lake Falls Code of Ordinances.
On Feb. 11, April Marie Kimbro, 28, of Trail, was cited for no current vehicle insurance. The stop was near County Road 5 and Highway 92 south of Oklee.

Juvenile calls in Red Lake County
On Feb. 8, a Red Lake Falls resident asked for help with an unruly juvenile. A deputy counseled the child and helped calm the situation.
On Feb. 10, staff at Red Lake County Central Schools reported a student acting unruly. The student left the building without permission, according to the report.
Officers located the child and took the student into custody. The child was taken to the Red River Valley Juvenile Center in Crookston.
Officials said the youth was set to be released to parents on Feb. 12.
Assault report at the Oklee bar
On Feb. 12, an individual reported an assault at TJ’s Tavern in Oklee.
A deputy spoke with the involved parties. The reported suspect said they confronted the complainant about reckless driving.
The incident remains under investigation. Court records may appear later through Minnesota Court Records Online.
