Red Lake County (trfnews.i234.me) — The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office handled several calls between March 7 and March 12. The incidents included an order complaint, a juvenile call, loose dogs, and weather-related motorist assists.

Order Complaint Still Under Review

On the evening of March 7, a Gervais Township resident reported a possible violation of an existing harassment or restraining order. A deputy spoke with the reporting party that night. Early findings suggested some parts of the complaint may have happened in Red Lake County and Pennington County.

The report said the claims are still under investigation. No charges were announced in the release. Authorities also did not release the names of the people involved.

Later that same night, the same residence generated another call. The reporting party said there was an unruly child at the home. A deputy returned to the address and took the juvenile to the Juvenile Detention Facility in Crookston.

The juvenile was later released to the father on March 9, according to the report. The incident was one of the more serious calls noted during the week.

Disturbance Call Ends Before Deputy Arrives

On the evening of March 9, the sheriff’s office received a report of a disturbance at an apartment building in Red Lake Falls. A deputy responded to the scene. By the time the deputy arrived, the area was quiet.

No one was outside, and no active problem was found. The report said the matter appeared to have ended before law enforcement reached the building.

Loose Dogs Reported Near Brooks

On the afternoon of March 11, the sheriff’s office received a report of two dogs running loose along Highway 59 south of Brooks. The dogs’ owner was contacted after the call came in.

The owner was told to retrieve the animals. No injuries or crashes were reported in connection with that call.

Drivers Helped After Poor Road Conditions

On the evening of March 12, law enforcement responded to a vehicle in the ditch along Highway 92 west of Terrebonne. Road conditions and visibility were poor that night. Because of those conditions, the vehicle was left in the ditch.

Two occupants from that vehicle were given a ride home. Later that same evening, another motorist assist was requested in Red Lake Falls. That occupant was also given a ride home.

The week’s calls showed a mix of family issues, public safety concerns, and weather-related problems.
