Red Lake County Sheriff’s Report 08/23/24

On the afternoon of 08/23/24, Noah Daniel Habermann (25) of East Grand Forks was cited for speeding on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls.

On the afternoon of 08/23/24, Austin Bailey Branchand (24) of Thief River Falls was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 in Red Lake Falls.

Shortly after midnight on 08/25/24, a Red Lake County deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a Red Lake Falls residence. It was discovered that Brett James Larson (37) of Red Lake Falls committed acts of domestic violence against his mother. He was arrested, taken to jail in Crookston and was booked for misdemeanor domestic assault. Mr. Larson appeared in Court in Crookston on 08/26/24. He posted $700 cash bail and was released with court-ordered conditions. His next court appearance was scheduled for 08/28/24 in Red Lake Falls.

On the afternoon of 08/25/24, Voyageur’s View Staff contacted the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office to report an individual was possibly using a fake identification card. Red Lake County deputies responded and discovered the ID card was fake. Investigation revealed that several minors in a group that was tubing had been consuming alcohol. Four juveniles will be charged for minor consumption of alcohol, and they will be summoned to appear in juvenile court at a later date. Yalentina I. Boianoff (20) of Fertile and Foma Kirikovich Cheremnov (18) of Erskine were both cited for minor consumption of alcohol. The juvenile’s guardians were notified of the incident, and they were all released from custody.

On the evening of 08/25/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbance in a residential area on the north side of Red Lake Falls. Red Lake County deputies responded and investigated the report. It was discovered that an argument began at the Voyageur’s View parking lot, and it continued into a residential neighborhood. Four individuals who were involved in causing the disturbance were located and identified. Kali Jade Lussier (20) of Grand Forks was cited for minor consumption and disorderly conduct. Keanna Rose Kingbird (22) of Fargo was cited for disorderly conduct. Geraun Demitri Foote (28) of Chicago City, MN was cited for disorderly conduct and Trisha Kay Londo (26) of Mahnomen was cited for disorderly conduct. All four individuals were taken to a Red Lake Falls residence and released from custody.

On the evening of 08/27/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of two dogs running loose and causing problems on the north side of Red Lake Falls. A Red Lake County deputy responded, found the owner, and the dogs were returned to their residence. The following morning, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received another complaint of one of dogs running loose again. A Red Lake County deputy caught the dog and took it to the Pound in Thief River Falls. The dog’s owner, Travis Steven Martin (28) of Red Lake Falls was cited for the city ordinance violation.

On the evening of 08/27/24, a Red Lake Falls resident reported a theft of property. That report remains under investigation.
