On the morning of 11/15/24, a Red Lake Falls resident reported being harassed. A Red Lake County deputy spoke with that individual, and they were counseled and advised.
On the afternoon of 11/15/24, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office reported they were going to release Kyle Travis Edgar (40) of Red Lake Falls. Red Lake County held an active felony warrant for his arrest. Mr. Edgar was turned over to a Red Lake County deputy who transported him to jail in Crookston. Mr. Edgar appeared in Court in Crookston on 11/18/24. He was released from custody and a future court date has been scheduled.
On the afternoon of 11/15/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle driving in the wrong lane on CR. #11, just outside of Red Lake Falls, and it almost struck another vehicle. Red Lake County deputies located the suspect vehicle and the driver at a Red Lake Falls residence. Mary Ellen Nephew (48) of Red Lake Falls was cited for misdemeanor careless driving.
On the afternoon of 11/17/24, Erica Carly Cropper (34) of Philadelphia, PA was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 south of Red Lake Falls.
On the afternoon of 11/17/24, a Red Lake Falls resident reported their family members had taken their vehicle and keys and were refusing to give them back. A Red Lake County deputy responded, provided assistance and property was returned.
On the afternoon of 11/17/24, the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance in locating and arresting a suspect who violated a current court ordered No Contact Order. A Red Lake County deputy located Preston Dean Altendorf (24) of Red Lake Falls. He was arrested, taken to jail in Crookston and he was turned over to Crow Wing County authorities the following day.
On the evening of 11/18/24, Quinten Thomas Snow (26) of Oklee was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation on CR. #5 north of Oklee.
On the afternoon of 11/19/24, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office reported they had John James Nogowski (36) of Thief River Falls in their custody. Red Lake County held an active felony warrant for his arrest. A Red Lake County deputy went to Thief River Falls and then transported him to jail in Crookston. On 11/21/24, Mr. Nogowski was transferred to the Clay County jail in Moorhead to face probation violation charges in that jurisdiction.
On the evening of 11/19/24, a Red Lake County deputy responded to a disturbance at an apartment building in Red Lake Falls. They found two individuals having words about a traffic-related incident that had occurred earlier. The involved parties were counseled, separated and the incident was mediated.
On the morning of 11/20/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a crash along Hwy. #59 south of Brooks. Red Lake County law enforcement officers, the Oklee Ambulance, the Plummer Fire Department, and the Minnesota State Patrol were dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that a passenger vehicle struck a tractor pulling a grain cart at the intersection of Hwy. #59 and CR. #7. The driver and lone occupant of the passenger vehicle was taken to the Sanford ER in Thief River Falls by the Oklee Ambulance to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the tractor was not injured. The passenger vehicle was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The Minnesota State Patrol in handling the ongoing crash investigation.
On the morning of 11/21/24, Red Lake County deputies, the Red Lake Falls Ambulance Service, and the Red Lake Falls Fire Department responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover crash on CR. #11 west of Red Lake Falls. The adult female occupant and a small child escaped the crash without any serious injuries, and neither were transported from the scene by the ambulance. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.
On the morning of 11/21/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of property in Oklee. That report remains under investigation.
On 11/21/24, the Rice County Sheriff’s Office reported they arrested Randal Charles Sayers Jr. (27) of Hastings, MN. Red Lake County holds an active gross misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Rice County Sheriff’s Office to make transport arrangements to get Mr. Sayers back to Red Lake County for a court appearance.
