News Release 04-26-24

On the evening of 04/19/24, Romeo Anthony Sebastian Lebiecki (20) of East Grand Forks was cited for misdemeanor no current motor vehicle insurance and expired motor vehicle registration on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls.

On the morning of 04/20/24, a Red Lake County deputy spoke with an individual who claimed they have been harassed by an ex. It was determined that no crimes had been committed and advice was given.

On the afternoon of 04/20/24, the Red Lake Falls Fire Department, Red Lake Falls Ambulance and Red Lake County law enforcement responded to a report of a garage fire at a residence in Gervais Township. The Oklee Fire Department was also summoned to the scene to bring more water. The building and all of its contents were a total loss. The fire started when the property owner was removing a fridge from an RV. The fridge exploded causing a fire in the RV, which spread throughout the structure. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

On the afternoon of 04/21/24, Shane Michael Drury (44) of Red Lake Falls was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls.

On the morning of 04/23/24, a Red Lake Falls resident report their child has been getting harassed by some other juveniles. Advice was given and the parent was directed to address the issue with school administration.

On the afternoon of 04/24/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of some kids shooting guns on private property in Red Lake Falls. A Deputy responded and found four juveniles shooting off some fireworks. The juveniles were counseled and removed from the property.

On the afternoon of 04/25/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a tree falling on a power line in Emardville Township. The Plummer Fire Department, the Red Lake Falls Fire Department and the Oklee Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. The situation was taken care of, and no injuries were reported. The Red Lake Falls Fire Department was called from that scene to respond to a field fire in Louisville Township. They were able to get that fire under control as well.

On the evening of 04/25/24, the Dollar General Store in Red Lake Falls reported a possible theft. That report is still under investigation.

On the evening of 04/25/24, a Red Lake Falls resident reported someone threw an object at their house. That report remains under investigation.
