News Release 04-05-24

On the morning of 03/29/24, a Red Lake County deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at an apartment complex in Red Lake Falls. The individual causing the issues was counseled and the situation was mediated.

On the afternoon of 03/29/24, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office reported that Jessica Lynn Nordby (45) of Thief River Falls had posted $100 cash bail to satisfy a misdemeanor warrant that was outstanding in Red Lake County. Ms. Nordby was released from custody and her next court appearance was scheduled for 04/10/24.

On the evening of 03/20/24, a Red Lake County deputy responded to an apartment complex in Red Lake Falls to counsel an individual who was causing a disturbance. The matter was resolved.

On the afternoon of 03/31/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sewer or propane odor near the Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls. The Red Lake Falls Fire Chief and school maintenance personnel were contacted. It was discovered the school was having an issue with their boiler and the situation was handled.

On the afternoon of 04/01/24, Sunview Center reported a theft of property. A Red Lake County deputy responded, and the matter remains under investigation.

On the afternoon of 04/01/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a nuisance yard in the city of Oklee. A Red Lake County deputy spoke with the property owner and advised them the nuisance needs to be remedied or they will be cited for the ordinance violation.

On the evening of 04/01/24, a Plummer residence reported damage to their property. That report remains under investigation.

On the afternoon of 04/04/24, the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office informed the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office that they were releasing Lane Allen Anderson (27) of Thief River Falls from their custody. Red Lake County held an active felony warrant for Mr. Anderson. A Red Lake County deputy went to Grand Forks and took custody of Mr. Anderson and transported him to jail in Crookston. He will appear in court in Crookston, to face these criminal charges on 04/05/24.
